ABSENT FRIENDS. = Aww, watching this I’m transfixed on observing Jon Lee.. I miss him terribly as the original drummer for FEEDER. I was so upset when we found out he passed away in January 2002, may his soul rest in peace. I think that’s why the two Feeder albums that followed hold special memory for me: Comfort In Sound (grieving album) and Pushing The Senses (recovery album). Also, Polythene album is the one I feel most sentimental over, as it was the first Feeder album I owned - listening to that album holds my best memories of Jon drumming with the band. MASQUERADE. = Moving onto this one now.. it’s a bit of a long’un altogether! Actually, nearly finished with the Dark Horse Omnibus: X-Wing Rogue Squadron Vol 3 now, so next up I’m gonna get my bounty hunt on and check out the Boba Fett collection I think :) -iLOVE it.
PUSHING VINYL. = Decided to snap up a 7” copy of FEEDER’s Borders single (as I have the itunes mp3 version of Borders EP) The vinyl will be a nice addition to my FEEDER record collection of LPs and 7” singles!
So lovely to hear the acoustic version of Side By Side! Thank you Grant for bringing back the melody to the Feeder sound. I missed your gentle melodic sound greatly during Silent Cry & Renegades albums. Borders also takes me back to the feel good buzz I felt during the Echo Park sound-era. Look forward to the new ‘Generation Freakshow’ album. -iLOVE it.
THX 1138. = I finally got around to watching the George Lucas Director’s Cut blu-ray version of this movie, including all the extras. The film itself looks great in 1080 high definition.
It really is a very clever and intriguing movie, but the ending just feels a bit unsatisfying. Although the concept of the story is really captivating, you just have like this bummed out feeling throughout the movie - and even at the end you don’t feel that much relief, just an ‘oh. ..okay.’ type of feeling. Plus, I always wonder - what the heck happened to LUH 3417?!
ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE! = Tonight is the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Rumble. It’s not on until 1am here in UK, so I will miss the whole thing & have to wait until weds to watch full thing at sis house, because of my work woes.
However, I know I won’t be able to refrain from reading all the spoilers the day after via twitter or here on tumblr. Anyways, my wishes for tonight are as follows:
- I kinda want the spat between Orton & Barrett to be over already & I would love for Wade Barrett to win RR match and go on to face Daniel Bryan for WHC at WM!
- I can imagine that despite the odds being highly against Daniel Bryan in the vs Show & Henry match, D-Bryan will somehow find a way to weasel out another win and retain the WHC title.
- I would love John Cena to turn #HEEL against all the other Heels & just unleash a can of whoop@$$ on Kane (but that probably isn’t going to happen)
- I would love to see Dolph Ziggler become the new WWE Champ (he’s really entertaining to watch, my current fave #HEEL) but with all the palava between CM Punk & John Laringytis (trying to re-create a Stone Cold vs Vince McMahon era) it wouldn’t surprise me if something happens on the night to let CM Punk stay champion until WM & then face Chris Jericho to find out who ‘the best in the world’ really is..?!
- As much as I’d love Wade Barrett to win the RR, I can imagine it being someone like Chris Jericho winning RR match, maybe by getting the coveted #30 or #27 spot - which is alright I guess, as long as he wrestles a bit in the match, i.e: not just hype the crowd and somehow just magically win - that’d be a seriously lame ending WWE creatives!?
- I would love some surprise appearance (returns) from the following: Undertaker, HHH, Dave Batista (is that wishful thinking?) oh and Christian! (I miss him)
